Welcome to In The Nude Sphynx, home of our bare, naked, wrinkled angels. We are located in Orlando, Florida and are fortunate enough to share our home with our Sphynx cats and 4 dogs. Our Sphynx cats are our pride and joy and we have been blessed to be loved by them. We are a small closed cattery, and I work closely with my sister cattery,Chateau Bare Sphynx, also located here in Orlando.  Together, we share a common bond of our love for these cats and breed for quality, not quantity. All of our kittens and cats get individualized attention and care. We are actively involved in the Sphynx community and breed for health, type and temperment first and foremost; and attend the shows to ensure that we are keeping up with the written standards according to that of the Sphynx breed.  We welcome you to check us out, ask questions, and feel comfortable with us prior to a possible adoption.

The Sphynx cat is very unique and has a personality that supersedes that of any other cat. Leaving independence at the door, they are true "people cats." The appearance of hairlessness differs with each Sphynx cat and depends on the quality of that specific cat/kitten. Sphynx temperment is sweet, affectionate and playful; wanting as much attention as you can give them. Although to look at the Sphynx, you would think no hair means maintenance free, these cats do require time and effort to keep them clean and healthy. Please visit Care of the Sphynx. None of our cats are ever caged and are raised under foot with our family, and our dogs (which the bond between canine and feline is unbreakable!). They run our household and are spoiled rotten! I will devote this website in offering information about these wonderful cats, and provide plenty of pictures of our future kings, queens and babies as they become available. As a rule, no kitten will leave our cattery until they are between 14 and 16 weeks old. We spay or neuter all of our PET kittens before they leave. This works best for the kittens, as recovery is faster and stress is minimized while mom and siblings are together. All kittens will be vet checked by a qualified veterinarian before leaving and all shots will be up to date.
Our cats are tested for FIV and FeLV with negative results and our breeding females will be HCM scanned (see Q & A's page) PRIOR to breeding. All cats and kittens adopted out are under contract which includes a NO DECLAW, INDOOR ONLY policy, please see "Declawing! What You Need To Know." This contract is necessary to protect both breeder, new owner, and most importantly, the cat/kitten. Please note that every respectable breeder requires a knowledge of information from any perspective "new" parent that will enable the breeder to ensure the health, safety and placement of their cats/kittens in their future home. As an owner of one of our kittens, I will be available to answer any questions, as long as you need me, prior, during and after adopting one of our baby's. Take a closer look at the Sphynx, if you choose to be a Sphynx parent, your life will forever be changed.
